I will present some of my favorite photographers. This time we’ve come to William Eggleston.
Ultuna
Today I was at our office at Ultuna, Uppsala. We don’t go there too often, but today the regional board was meeting there, so those of us in the staff that could were invited to come to the office to see them.
A favorite photographer: Sune Jonsson
Sune Jonsson was born in the northern part of Sweden in 1930. I especially love his photographs of rural northern Sweden, at a time when a traditional way of life was dying out.
A favorite photographer: Daidō Moriyama
Daidō Moriyama is a Japanese photographer, born in 1938, who is arguably best known for his striking black and white photos of Japan.
A favorite photographer: Martin Parr
Martin Parr is a member of Magnum and quite a unique photographer, capturing people and scenes of real life, with a sense of humor.
Nikon AF-P 18-55mm VR
This is a so-called “kit lens”, meaning it used to come packaged with Nikon cameras. Kit lenses are usually frowned upon as being nothing special, probably because they come packaged with new cameras and therefore are in no short supply.
A favorite photographer: André Kertész
André Kertész is one of those photographers that may not be that well known in the general public, but he’s quite well known among those interested in photography. He has been called “one of the fathers of photojournalism and street photography.”
Nikon 35mm f/1.8G
This is about as close to a nifty fifty you can get on Nikon DX. The Nikon AF-S DX Nikkor 35mm f/1.8G is a wonderful little lens. It’s sharp, focuses fast and produces lovely colors. That it doesn’t cost a fortune is obviously also a good thing.
Easter buffet in Kumla
Today we went to Kumla for a very nice Easter buffet in the fellowship hall.
Easter Sunday mass in Kumla church
Today we attended Easter Sunday mass in the church in Kumla.
