This is about as close to a nifty fifty you can get on Nikon DX. The Nikon AF-S DX Nikkor 35mm f/1.8G is a wonderful little lens. It’s sharp, focuses fast and produces lovely colors. That it doesn’t cost a fortune is obviously also a good thing.
This is a picture of a colleague, which I took for work yesterday with the 35mm lens and my D5500. I used the Nissin D710a flash to bounce in the ceiling and a bit to my right.
