The death of DSLRs

Posted on 2024-11-29 by Magnus

There’s no question that mirrorless cameras have taken over from DSLRs, but how much should you care about that when pondering your purchasing decision?

For many years now the camera industry has focused on mirrorless cameras, and reduced or completely abandoned DSLRs. That’s the way it is.

And I was a DSLR user up until recently.

My DSLRs produced wonderful photos, so why did I switch?

The most recent technology is in mirrorless, no doubt. And Nikon switched lens mounts, and it’s the Z mount their future lies. And arguably, mirrorless cameras feature more advanced autofocus and other things as well.

I leave you with a few videos where this question is discussed. And of course DLSRs are not dead, but they are not the future either.
