Stockholm with the Nikon D3000

Posted on 2024-04-262024-04-26 by Magnus

I spent two days in Stockholm for work, and I had the opportunity to take some pictures with the Nikon D3000 and the Nikon 35mm f/1.8G lens.

Concerning photography, I sometimes wish I lived in a city, preferably a large city. I happen to live in the country, about 10k outside a smallish city.

But occasionally, it is nice to walk around in a city, there is always so much to see, to shoot, to capture both interest and pictures. But that’s perhaps a function of not living in the city, that I can always look at it with fresh eyes.

I don’t consider myself a street photographer, but I do like to walk the city streets and capture what interests me. More like William Eggleston than Bruce Gilden, I guess.

Both the camera and the lens performed well, I think. As I’ve said many times, I wish there was a pancake lens for DX, but that will never happen. As far as I know, the 35mm f/1.8 is the smallest lens with autofocus there is.
