There are many options for you if you want to sell or trade your gear. There are online auction sites, and many stores that can buy your gear. One place I’d recommend you check out is MPB.
MPB is a good place both if you would like to buy gear, sell gear or trade gear.
They have a large and constantly changing selection of used gear, with a rating you can trust. Generally, I’d say the items are a in a bit better condition than their rating, so you can trust it. Their prices are pretty good. Sure, you can get something a bit cheaper on a local auction site. But the selection on MPB is great, and often they are not that much pricier.
They ship with DHL, which I find fast and pretty decent in terms of price.
If you want to sell to them, or trade, it’s simple. Fill in what you would like to sell or trade, they give you an instant quote, and if you accept, you get a shipping label. Then pack it up, put the label on the box and either DHL will pick it up from you, or you go hand it in to a DHL service station.
Then when they get the package, they go through it, make sure the condition of the items, and tell you what the final price is. It can be a bit higher than quoted, or lower, but seems their process is pretty fair. Then you get some money back, or have to pay a bit more. I’ve done this a few times, trading items, and it’s gone both ways, with a small difference.
How much do you get paid for your items? Honestly, it’s not great. You can get more selling it yourself. But what you have to consider is the time and effort you have to put in then. And I’ve sold plenty of stuff myself, as well as with MPB, and it’s not an easy choice.
MPB is certainly a place I will look at whenever I want to buy something in the future. And if I have something to sell or trade, I’ll check out what they will quote me.
In summary, I’d urge you to check out MPB, and I get nothing for saying that.
