As excited I was to start shooting analog again, and getting the Nikon F5, I have to put it on pause.
It’s a combination of cost and time that makes me put analog on hold for now.
I knew about the cost, of course, and I’ve not shot that many rolls so far. So it’s more looking forward that makes me more careful. I will probably shoot a roll once in a while, I still have a few in the fridge. And would I happen to come across some cheap roll, I might pick it up.
And the Nikon F5 I am keeping for now. It has quickly become my all-time favorite camera to hold and to use.
Another contributing factor is time, or lack thereof. Some things have changed in my life (I might get back to what later) and it means I have less time to spend on things like photography.
It’s not exactly that analog photography takes more time than digital, but I like putting more time into analog, and not being able to somewhat takes the fun out of it.
This is not something that I really wanted to admit, but there it is.
