I got me an analog camera, the N55/F55, let’s see what it can do.
Well, first I need to buy some film, of course. But it looks to be in good condition and should supposedly work fine.
It came with a Nikon AF 28-80mm f/3.3-5.6G lens, which is supposed to be really good. Here’s an interesting article from Nikon about this lens. If the camera works, the plan is to complement it with a 50mm, which has to be AF or AF-D.
This is a camera introduced in 2002, and it’s small, light and made from plastic. It has the usual basic functionality, but no particular frills or advanced functions. But that is fine with me.
Being used to DSLRs, this is an amazingly light camera, only 350g. And you would recognize all the controls and dials, they work much the same way as more modern Nikons.
I’ll get back to you soon with some sample shots (they will be my first analog shots for many years). Meanwhile, there are plenty of reviews online for you to peruse.
