I put the Nikon 50mm f/1.8 AI on my Nikon D800e and took some shots. Too me it looks great.
Nikon 50mm f/1.8 AI
I took a chance and got a used Nikon 50mm f/1.8 AI lens on eBay for $60. It was described as having “a few scratches and dust”, which it does, but not enough to cause problems, I suspect.
Nikon EM
My latest acquisition is a Nikon EM and Series E 50mm f/1.8 lens.
Nikon 28-80mm f/3.3-5.6G
This is a gem of a lens, which works well on a wide range of cameras. It’s relatively cheap, versatile, and can produce some very nice pictures.
Nikon AF 50mm f/1.8D
I’ve had various models of Nikon 50mm lenses (including, currently, the AF-S 50mm f/1.4G), but not the D-version, until now.
Nikon AF-S 24-120mm f/4G VR
I got this lens as a general purpose lens for the D800e. It’s not exactly small and light, but sharp, has VR, and with the zoom range, you can manage almost everything.
Sigma 10-20mm f/4-5.6 DC EX HSM
My latest acquisition is the Sigma 10-20mm f/4-5.6 DC EX HSM. I actually sold the Rokinon 8mm (with a small profit) to buy this instead. It’s obviously much more versatile.
