Yesterday, a group of around 30 farmers from Switzerland visited a farm in the region where I work. It was fun following along and taking photos.

Beefier EN-EL18 battery in your D800e
Something I found out after buying my D800e was that in the MD-D12 battery grip you can use the rather beefy (in both size and capacity) battery EN-EL18. So I had to try.
A few words about the MB-D12 battery grip
When I got the D800e, I was unsure if I was going to get the MB-D12 battery grip, because of the cost, but also the added bulk and weight. But after a while, I took the plunge.
Nikon AF-S 24-120mm f/4G VR
I got this lens as a general purpose lens for the D800e. It’s not exactly small and light, but sharp, has VR, and with the zoom range, you can manage almost everything.
Miscellaneous photos from today
Today we had to take one of the cars for service, and while we waited we drove around in the countryside around Västerås. It was primarily to see if any farmers were out harvesting (which they weren’t), but I got a few good shots of other things.

Church service in Kila
Today, we celebrated in Kila church.
Visiting some farms
Today was “Kom till gården” (Welcome to the farm) in our area, where farmers and other businesses welcomed the public to meet their animals, buy their produce, and learn more about what they do.
